PANJIM: Panjim Police are on lookout for one Anthony Rodrigues, who has been accused of stabbing Calangute resident Sanjay Palyekar on Wednesday. As per a complaint filed by Palyekar’s wife Aparna, Rodrigues, a resident of Parra assaulted her husband and later stabbed him on the neck with a knife on the new Mandovi Bridge, at around 11:30pm on Wednesday.
The motive is said to be non-payment of money towards exchange of some US dollars. The police have registered an offence of attempted murder and are searching for the accused.
