Police order on relieving staff

PANJIM: The Goa Police has released an order directing in charge of police stations/units to relieve its staff, transferred by various orders by the headquarters by January 29.

The order issued by SP HQ Nidhin Valsan also warns of action against the concerned in charge for failing to abide by the present order.

“All Officers and Staff under transfer by various orders issued by Police Headquarter with approval of Police Establishment Board till date shall be relieved immediately to report to their respective place of postings. If staff under transfer is not relived by January 29, 2021, then action will be taken against the in charge of concerned police stations/units for non relieving of staff,” it reads.

The order comes in the wake of a complaint filed by NGO Goa Foundation demanding for vigilance inquiry into postings of a few police constables and head constables, who although transferred to other police stations/units have unofficially refused to take over their new charge.
