PANJIM: The office of the Director General of Police (DGP), Police Headquarters promoted a large number of police personnel, on Tuesday.
A total of 29 Assistant Police Inspectors (ASIs) were promoted to the posts of Police Sub Inspector (PSIs). Then a total of 31 Police Head Constables were promoted to the post of ASIs. Finally, a total of 130 Police Constables were promoted to the post of Police Head Constables.
As per the official order, all of the above promotions were done on the recommendation of the Police Establishment Board. These promotions have been a long pending demand amongst the police force.
