MARGAO: MainaCurtorim Police today questioned Anil Kumar Sahoo, manager of Tulip Diagnostics Ltd., Verna in connection with the medical waste and biopsy tissues found in the fields near Coca Cola factory at Verna on Saturday.
Earlier police had questioned Dr. RamnikSood of the Sood Laboratory in Panjim to whom some of the tissues were referred for examination by Dr. Shekhar Salkar in the year 2014 and Dr Sood informed that the same were sent to Tulip Diganostics Ltd for the required examination, Anil Kumar admitted that the containers were from their laboratory.
and opined that someone from the 750 staff members must have played mischief by taking away the containers which incidentally were not kept in a locked room.
Police had found 81 containers with tissues referred for biopsy that were held in three containers. It is believed that migrants and particularly the lamanis must have thrown away some of the tissues and taken away the plastic containers which are sturdy and long lasting.
