MARGAO: Margao police have registered an offence under the Information Technology Act 2000 in connection with the hacking of an ATM password.
In his complaint, Sujit Kumar, a native of Gaurangpur village of Odisha, but presently residing at Asaad Hsg Cooperative Society, Madel-Margao, stated that on September 25 an unknown person hacked the ATM password of his ATM card and withdrew cash of Rs 40,000 and transferred an amount of Rs 30,000 from the State Bank of India, Verna branch.
