panjim: The Inspector General of Police Sunil Garg felicitated 11 police personnel including two SDPOs, PIs, one PSI and six constables for successfully chasing and arresting the two escapees – Charter Neftali Shmuel and Nariya Bendavid. They were awarded with cash and appreciation certificates at a ceremony held at police headquarters on Friday.
Meanwhile, 24 police officials were rewarded for cracking another case of murder of a taxi driver at Vasco earlier this year.
The staff of Panjim, Old Goa and Agassaim police stations had arrested Karnataka native Muddasir Kerudi within a few hours after he murdered a taxi driver at Chicalim.
Moreover, a woman witness Tresil Gomes, was honored with a cash award and a certificate for giving an important clue to the police that led to the arrest.
