MAPUSA: Saligao Police in the intervening night of Friday and Saturday conducted a raid on storeroom of a wine store at Sangolda and seized liquor worth Rs 1,04,500.
According to police, 396 bottles of Budweiser beer of 650 ml, 576 bottles of Budweiser beer of 330 ml and eight bottles of Magic Moments Vodka of 750 ml were confiscated. Police have handed over the seized liquor to the Excise Department.
The raiding team headed by Police Inspector Tukaram Chavan comprised Police Sub-Inspector Atikesh Khedekar and Police Constables Sandesh Aroskar, Vishant Mayekar, Vijay Palni, Nitesh Salgaonkar, Nandan Arabekar and Ramdas Harmalkar.
