PANJIM: The Goa Police have requisitioned Anti-Drone team of National Security Guard (NSG) force and National Disaster Rescue Force (NDRF) ahead of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meet.
Director General of Police (DGP) Jaspal Singh reviewed the preparedness for SCO meeting to be held in Goa from May 4 to May 5 in which Foreign Ministers of SCO member countries would be participating.
DGP Headquarters Aslam Khan IPS, Cyber Shivendu Bhushan IPS, SP Security Kiran Poduwal, SP Traffic Bossuet De Silva, and Staff Officer to DGP were a part of the important meeting. Earlier, DGP had visited the venue along-with SP South Goa in Colva area and held a meeting with the hotel management from the security angle and briefed them about the various security imperatives considering that Foreign Ministers of China, Pakistan and Russia are likely to participate.
The officers were briefed by DGP to make foolproof security arrangements. It was decided to requisition anti-drones team of NSG and NDRF team to ensure countermeasures against any kind of eventuality.
Officers were instructed to utilise the experience grained during BRICS Summit.
