MARGAO: A day after Herald highlighted the stone throwing incident at the St Sebastian Church, Aquem during the midnight mass on New Year day, the Margao police have decided to investigate the matter suo moto.
Margao Sub-divisional Police Officer, DySP Mohan Naik along with Margao Police station in-charge PI Sudesh Naik visited the Aquem Church and had a close interaction with the Parish Priest Fr Ligorinho Da Costa on the stone throwing incident, which had left a parishioner injured during the midnight mass.
The parish priest is believed to have briefed the police on the incident as well as the previous incident.
