Police trace minor boy at Jhansi

PANJIM: A minor boy who was allegedly kidnapped from a rented room at Old Goa was traced at Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh and was brought to Goa on Saturday.  

The boy, aged 14, a native of Bihar and currently residing at Old Goa went missing on August 6. Following a complaint by the boy’s mother that her son was kidnapped, the Old Goa police registered a case against unknown person under section 363 of IPC and section 8 of Goa Children’s Act.

The police had launched search operations with different teams but no clue was found. Then upon receipt of some reliable input, a police team was sent to Jhansi, UP and the boy was traced travelling in the train and accordingly rescued at Jhansi with the help of railway police force (RPF).
