Politicos slam govt for poor decision-making process

PANJIM: Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant was at the receiving end for withdrawing the notifications on Section 144 of the CrPC and urban areas.

Party member and former Panjim MLA, Sidhharth Kuncoliencar, questioned the reversal of decisions saying, “Someone in our @BJP4goa government is playing around with polity by issuing orders to rescind later. Request @goacm @dr pramodsawant to investigate why orders keep coming out, only to be repealed later,” he said.

Sawant’s former cabinet colleague and former Deputy Chief Minister Vijai Sardesai said that the Central BJP leaders have to learn about rolling back of decisions by the Chief Minister and roll back the anti people policies.

Sardesai said, “I appreciate the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant for having rolled back anti-people decisions. This is a roll back government. His central leaders should learn from him and they should roll back the decisions that are anti-people.”

He was referring to the CAA/NRC/NPR of the Central Government against the backdrop of the Chief Minister rolling back decisions in Goa.

MLA Rohan Khaunte also slammed the government for poor decision making. “How can the leader of a State be so indecisive? How can he propose policy changes without thinking through and then withdraw after ‘rethinking’,” Khaunte said.

He said that Sawant’s erratic flip flops puts a question mark on the CM’s ability to decide. “Has the terror threat disappeared overnight? Is this how a State is run? Why aren’t ‘experts’ consulted before making such decisions?” he said.

He further stated that he wasn’t sure if he should appreciate the government for listening to the public sentiments or worry at the indecisiveness of the government that is harming Goans.
