PONDA: The Ponda police on Friday registered an offence under Section 325 of the IPC against Udesh Hari Gaude, a resident of
Khorlim, Old Goa, for
allegedly assaulting a woman at Marcel.
The police said they received a complaint from Sandeep Naik, a resident of Marcel, alleging that the accused assaulted his mother, 54-year-old Kishori Naik near the Maruti Temple, Banastari Market, on Thursday, without any reason or provocation. Gaude allegedly attacked the woman with punches to her face, and when she fell to the ground, he continued to kick her, causing her grievous injuries. The victim was admitted to Goa Medical College for treatment.
