Ponda firemen rescue child trapped in flat, with gas stove on

PONDA: In a dramatic rescue operation, the Ponda fire personnel saved a child trapped in a locked flat in Silvanagar early Sunday morning.

According to Sushil Morajkar, the Fire Station in-charge, they received a distress call from the family reporting that their child was inadvertently left alone inside the flat while the main door got locked. As panic gripped the family outside, the situation grew dire as the gas stove had been left on, putting the child at risk of suffocation from the smoke emanating from the burnt food on the stove.

Responding to the emergency swiftly, the Fire Station team arrived at the scene and forced open the main door of flat no 105 in Bindu Aastha Residential. Their efforts culminated in the successful rescue of the young girl, averting a potential tragedy.

The little girl’s mother conveyed her heartfelt thanks to the Ponda Fire team for their heroic intervention.
