PANJIM: Ponda MLA Ravi Naik on Thursday said that he had visited a hospital for a routine check-up and appealed to the people to avoid those playing pranks related to his health on April Fools day.
As soon as Naik visited the private hospital at Dona Paula, there were messages shared that he had suffered a mild brain stroke.
Naik immediately took to social media and clarified that he had come to the hospital for a routine check-up as he had a vertigo problem and that some people were spreading rumours about his health.
“I have a vertigo problem and I had visited Manipal hospital to meet Dr Netalkar for a routine check-up. Reports about my health are being misreported,” Naik said, appealing to his well wishers not to worry and panic by the fake news being spread by anti-social elements.
“I am fine and thank those spreading rumours about my health,” he said. Naik will be discharged on Friday, family sources said.
