Ponda police directed to reinvestigate plaint against RTO

MARCEL (HC): JMFC Ponda has directed Ponda Police to reinvestigate into the complaint filed by one Mahesh Nayak against a road transport officer.
It may be recalled that Jai Damodar Association, Margao, President Mahesh Nayak on December 3, 2008, had filed a police complaint against a RTO officer that during his tenure at the RTA office, Ponda, the officer had allegedly registered vehicles on fake documents and without any addresses on the sale letter. Nayak had also alleged that licenses were also issued illegally.
Rejecting the application for C summary filed by PSI Sachin Lokre, the court observed that the investigation was not conducted properly and that thorough investigation is required to be carried out by the police on the complaint.
