PONDA: The annual Shigmo Festival at State level will commence starting from Ponda on 26 March. Ponda Shigmostav Committee Meeting was chaired by Ponda MLA and Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik, Secretary Gurunath Naik in presence of PMC Chairperson Ritesh Naik, Curti Khandepar Sarpanch Harish Naik, Members of Shigmo Comitte Hanumanth Naik, Kishore Naik, Devanand Satarkar were present on dais.
Later the programme was announced. Since there will be code of conduct in force due to LS election the parade will be held within scheduled time said secretary Gurunath Naik. On 23 March the prayer/naman will be offered to Goddess Mahalasa at Mardol temple. On 26 Shigmo procession will commence at 3.30 pm from Tisk Ponda and it will conclude strictly at 10 pm at Ponda Bus Stand.
