PONDA: The annual Shigmo parade will be held in Ponda on March 14 from 4 pm onwards. The Ponda Shigmo Committee formed under the Chairmanship of PMC Chief Officer Navnath Naik at the press conference announced that prizes amounting to Rs 6 lakhs will be given to the winners in various categories.
In floats category the prizes are Rs 60,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 40,000, besides consolation prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000, Rs 12000, Rs 10,000, ten prizes of Rs 7000 and five prizes of Rs 5000 will be given.
In Romtamel category the prizes are Rs 35,000, Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 besides six consolation prizes of Rs 7000 each will be given.
In the folk dance category The prizes are Rs 20,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 while three prizes of Rs 5000, Five prizes of Rs 4000, five prizes of Rs 3000 and four prizes of Rs 2000 will be given as consolation prizes.
