PONDA: A 46-year-old woman from Murdi-Khandepar, Ponda, succumbed to injuries which she had sustained in an accident along the Vagurme-Khandepar road opposite Mandovi Hatcheries Factory at Ponda.
According to police, Prateeba Gavde was seriously injured after a motorcycle knocked her down while she was crossing the road opposite Mandovi Hatcheries Factory at Ponda on December 28.
Gavde had sustained head injuries and was undergoing medical treatment at GMC Hospital in Bambolim, where she succumbed to injuries on Friday.
Police have registered an offence against the motorcycle rider and is investigating the case.
