Panjim: Calling the government “heartless” for not caring about the poor, the AamAadmi Party said the government built cheap quality houses for dhangars and even made money on the lives of the poor dhangars. AAP said this is a proof of the fact that Mopa airport project is a big land scam which will benefit only the politicians and the rich.
” When the land acquisition was going on and the new law had been introduced wherein people would get 4 times the market value of their land and was supposed to be implemented on first of January of that year the government finished the acquisition haphazardly in November itself ” said AAP leader Siddharth Karapurakar
He said the local MLA made a drama by blaming the contractor for the poor quality but in reality, he too will be involved in this scam along with other BJP local politicians. “This substandard work is an insult to the dignity of the dhangars” he said
Blaming both, the congress and BJP, for the massive loot of forest land and destruction of trees, Karapurkar said that they are together to make profits on the lives of Goans has taken place. “The displacement of locals , cattle and loss of agriculture will have consequences for the whole of Goa as this government has changed focus to making Goa as the worlds biggest casino zone after Las Vegas.”, he said.
