PANJIM: Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said that the portfolio allocation to Cabinet Ministers would be done on Saturday evening, after the first cabinet expansion of the ministry.
Parsekar told media persons that once the two MLAs –Francisco Pacheco and Avertano Furtado are sworn in as ministers, the portfolios would be announced.
It was expected that portfolio allocation would take place on Friday, as Parsekar and former chief minister and current Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar held consultations with all MLAs and ministers on Thursday.
The swearing in ceremony of both MLAs is scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
