Portugal Min arrives to ink pact on water, waste & sanitation

PANJIM: Portugal’s Environment Minister Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes arrived in Goa on a two-day visit and was received by PWD Secretary Sheo Pratap Singh at Dabolim airport on Friday.
The Minister is in the State to sign a MoU between the Goa government and Aguas de Portugal for technical partnership with Goa for water supply, waste management and sanitation.  
Projects related to water supply operation, energy 
efficiency and resource valorisation, waste water and sewerage planning management and technological solutions, asset management procedure and standards, energy management operational workflows, operational data and information management will be taken up under the partnership.
Representatives from both sides will meet every year to review the works carried out under the MoU. The Indian and Portuguese governments will provide funds for related projects under the MoU.
