Authorities have introduced fresh changes to traffic movement around the Porvorim Elevated Corridor, with new exit points opened for motorists travelling between Mapusa, Porvorim and Panaji.
Vehicles travelling from the Mapusa side towards Panaji can now exit opposite Neo Majestic through a single lane that has been opened and merges with the existing service road. However, motorists cannot currently access Atal Setu from this point, as the connection remains closed.

Meanwhile, motorists travelling from Merces via Atal Setu can now exit into Porvorim immediately after crossing the bridge and before reaching the elevated corridor. The new exit provides direct access to the Porvorim locality.
The revised traffic arrangement is expected to provide additional access points and ease movement for motorists using the corridor.
However, the absence of clear directional signage at the newly opened exits remains a concern. Motorists unfamiliar with the revised routes could face confusion, particularly during busy traffic hours.
Authorities may need to install prominent signboards and lane-direction indicators to help motorists navigate the changed traffic pattern safely.
