Porvorim Police apprehends 3rd suspect in the Nims Dhillon murder case

Goa Police, with the assistance of the Madhya Pradesh Police, apprehends the 24-year-old suspect, Kunal Khatik, three weeks after the incident

Porvorim Police has arrested the third suspect in the murder case of 77-year-old businessman NS Dhillon, alias Nims Badal, on Monday. The Goa Police, with the assistance of the Madhya Pradesh Police, apprehended the 24-year-old suspect, Kunal Khatik, three weeks after the incident.

Narottam Singh Dhillon was found dead with injuries at his villa in Pilerne-Marra village, North Goa, on February 4. Jitendra Sahu and Nitu Rahuja were previously arrested in connection with the case.

During the investigation, the involvement of Kunal Khatik, a native of Datia, Madhya Pradesh, emerged leading to his absconding. Despite initial attempts to trace him, Khatik remained elusive until he was spotted in Datia, Madhya Pradesh. A police team, led by PSL Mandar Parab, apprehended Khatik on February 24 with the assistance of Kotwali Police Station, Datia.

Khatik was brought back to Goa after obtaining transit remand and was subsequently arrested in connection with the crime on February 26. He was produced before the Mapusa JMFC court, where he was granted seven days of police custody remand.

The investigation into the case continues under the supervision of PL. Rahul T. Parab of Porvorim Police Station, SDPO Porvorim VP. Karpe, and SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
