PORVORIM: An unknown person scammed a woman from Vadakade, Porvorim of Rs 1.25 lakh on a phone payment App.
As per PI Rahul Parab, Aditi Ajay Yadav, originally from Indore, Madhya Pradesh and residing at State Bank Colony, Porvorim was scammed of Rs 1,27,138 by an anonymous person who hacked her PhonePe mobile application. On September 10-11, the accused withdrew the aforementioned amount from the victim’s State Bank account by making a total of 31 unauthorised transactions.
Police have registered a case under IPC Section 420 and IT Act 66 based on Yadav’s complaint and are investigating the case under the guidance of PI Parab.
