PANJIM: Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) MP Luizinho Faleiro on Wednesday said that the party’s national leaders will decide on post-poll strategy after the Goa Assembly election results are declared.
After holding discussions with the party’s candidates ahead of counting of votes, Faleiro said that if TMC becomes a part in any government formation then it will not compromise on three schemes namely Griha Laxmi scheme, Yuva Shakti scheme and Housing Rights scheme `Mhaje Ghar Maalki Hakk’ which were announced for the people of Goa.
According to Faleiro, nearly 3.5 lakh Goan women have registered their names for Griha Laxmi Scheme while, 2.5 lakh youth have registered their names for the Yuva Shakti scheme and many Goans have also applied for the housing scheme.
“If TMC happens to be a part in any government formation then there will be a Common Minimum programme (CMP) and in that CMP, there will no compromise as far as these three schemes are concerned,” he said.
TMC leader and MLA Churchill Alemao said that the party will extend its support to the government, which will accept and accord priority to three schemes announced by the TMC.
“We will support the government that will accept and implement Griha Laxmi scheme, Yuva Shakti scheme and Housing Rights scheme to Goans,” Churchill said.
The TMC and MGP have forged a pre-poll alliance and the former are contesting 26 seats and 13 by MGP. The alliance is hopeful of winning 10 seats.
