PANJIM: Office of the Electoral Registration Officer, Porvorim organized a poster, painting and drawing competition in schools in Porvorim constituency for creating awareness of voting right.
Students from various schools enthusiastically participated in the competition. The BLOs were divided in groups and were stationed in different schools to coordinate and manage the function, Kapil Phadte, Electoral Registration Officer of Porvorim constituency informed.
He said that Assistant ERO Anil Rane Sardessai supervised the function and also with the teachers, staff, headmistress, headmaster and students of the respective schools. The school managements have provided full support in organizing the event.
Phadte informed that the best posters will be displayed at the various panchayats in Porvorim to create awareness about voting rights. He said that ERO office under the guidance of Chief Electoral Officer, will be undertaking many such activities under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program of the Election Commission of India to create awareness about voting rights.
