Power cable catches fire in Margao

MARGAO, JUNE 15
Fire services and police rushed near Marliz hotel in the heart of the city here after a power cable from an underground cable from a feeder caught fire this evening. The fire created a scare in the busy pavement, with smoke billowing out from the insulated pipeline.
The fire services, which rushed to the spot, intimated the power department officials to attend to the fire.
Two police constables were deployed at the site as a precautionary measure to ensure that members of the public does not come close to the burning cable wire.
