PONDA: The Electricity Department has issued urgent notices to Ponda and Dharbandora Taluka power consumers to clear their pending bills immediately.
According to Executive Engineer Sudan Cuncolienkar at Curti Sub-Power Station there are total around 72 Consumers in Ponda Taluka and those who had not paid up their bills for the past three to six months and have been directed to clear their arrears. He said around 5000 consumers had not cleared their bills. He urged them to clear those bills immediately to avoid disconnection of power supply.
The urgent notice by electricity department reads that “The consumers from Ponda and Dharbandora Taluka ie Bandora, Madkai, Ponda, Kavlem, Talaulim, Durbhat Kundaim, Marcela, Savoi-Verem; Usgao, Veling Priol, Cuncolim, Bhoma, Verem, Volvoi, Betki, Sacorda; Dharbandora Curti under the jurisdiction of Electricity Department Division-X and Curti-Ponda are hereby requested to clear arrears towards electricity bills immediately failing which electricity connections will be disconnected.”
