Power dept officials arrested

QUEPEM, SEPT 23
Electricity Department Executive Engineer G V Prasad and Junior Engineer Sandeep Borkar were arrested by Quepem police in connection with the misappropriation of scrap material from the electricity department at Xeldem. The scrap dealer and another person had been arrested earlier in this connection.
According to reports, Prasad and Borkar had been booked by Quepem police in the offence and fearing arrest, they had filed anticipatory bail application.
The two officials surrendered before Quepem police on Wednesday, after their anticipatory bail application was rejected in the Session court.
Quepem police is investigating the case.
