A Pernem-based farmer has bitterly complained to Minister for Power alleging non-co-operation of officers in releasing power supply for agricultural purpose.
The complainant, a farmer from Ibrampur, Pernem, V B Shirodkar states that he applied for electricity connection of LTAG of 3 Horse Power for agricultural purpose at Hedus, Ibrampur.
The 72-year-old farmer claims that for the last one year he has been pursuing his file with officials of he power department from Pernem and Mapusa who have allegedly failed to comply.
Shirodkar has also stated that he needs to install a pump to meet the water requirements for farming which is low during the summer season.
The non-co-operation of the Power Department, he alleged, has caused him acute losses
He ridiculed the apathetic attitude of the power department at a time when the governments is emphasizing on cultivation of crops and giving subsides to the farmers.
Shirodkar has urged t he power minister to look into his grievance and to consider his application for power connection for agriculture purpose at the business.
