MARGAO: The Road Transport Authority Enforcement Office at Arlem is suffering power outage and bad service of computers. On Tuesday the only computer in the cash counter for billing and printing of tax receipts hung and shut down due to lack of power backup. A man who had come to pay green tax had already waited for half a day by then.
The RTA Enforcement office which is a revenue collection office is asking for help. The office has hardly any power back up for the computer works to continue. The printer takes too long to fire up once it goes off. The connectivity of the system is too slow and the whole office looks like a dungeon.
“I had come to pay green tax and standing since morning. All I hear is that the printer is no functional and it is taking time for that” said A Roberts.
“This is a daily problem at the RTA office and the fact that there is no inverter is such a shame” said Laxmikant Bandodkar.
Various bus owners, Driving school owners and others come to pay Green Tax, Fitness tax and others. A bill to process takes more than half an hour. The people are demanding Government Intervention in this problem and sort it once and forever.
