MARGAO: A massive power outage plunged Margao into total darkness late on Tuesday night.
The power went off a little after 10 pm. Unlike the usual frequent power outages the city has been facing recently in isolated wards, the Tuesday night power outage affected almost the entire city.
Right from Fatorda, Gogol to Madel and other parts of Margao, the city was thrown into complete darkness.
Those travelling were inconvenienced in the absence of street lights. The ongoing digging of roads added to the woes of the commuters.
The two bus stands, the old one near the police station and the KTC, were in darkness as well.
