PANJIM: The fire at Campal, in which a transformer located behind the Campal trade centre building, near an under construction site was burnt Thursday, was caused due to a cable fault within the premises of Campal Trade Centre.
Officials of the electricity department informed that it was no fault of the department which led to the burning of the transformer and subsequent billowing of smoke. Employees of the electricity department worked round the clock Friday and power was finally restored by 7 pm.
