Prakash Kamat, Goa Correspondent of daily Hindu is the only candidate remaining in the fray for the election of Presidentship of Goa Union of Journalists (GUJ), after Sagar Jawdekar of Tarun Bharat withdrew his nomination papers today.
GUJ election is scheduled on April 30, between 9 am and 12 pm. The election shall be held at Shramashakti Bhavan, 6th floor, GUJ premises. Postal ballot election shall be held at the same premises on April 28, from 3 pm to 5 pm.
The election for the post of 10 executive committee members shall be held on April 30. Pritesh Dessai, Audumber Shinde, Sudesh Arlekar, Sanjeev Verekar, Prashant Verekar, Vithaldas Hegde, Soiru Komarpant, Sagar Jawdekar, Somanth Maitri, Sadguru Patil, Leena Pednekar, Nandesh Kambli and Suresh Wadavdekar are in the fray.
Flavian Dias will be the election officer.
