PANJIM: The North Goa District Collector on Saturday clarified that the “Prashasan Gao Ki Aur”, campaign conducted as part of Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav, concluded on December 24, itself.
In a communication, the Collector also said that only the District Collectors, across all States were directed to attend the video conference on December 25, celebrated as “Good Governance Day”.
The campaign “Prashasan Gao Ki Aur” as a part of Good Governance Week, was held from December 20-24 and no event was scheduled in any Taluka on Saturday.
Leader of the Opposition Digamar Kamat had condemned the government’s decision to hold a programme on the Christmas Day being a public holiday, wherein several government employees were asked to report.
