PANJIM: Goa Pradesh Mahila Congress President Adv Pratima Coutinho has pitched for South Goa candidature for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, which are due in April.
Coutinho, who has been party office bearer for more than a decade, on Monday submitted application form for the candidature for South Goa Parliamentary elections to Pradesh Congress Committee president Girish Chodankar.
Speaking to HERALD, Coutinho confirmed the development and said that women representation should be consider for the Lok Sabha polls.
Congress party has initiated process to shortlist candidate for the general elections. Several senior leaders like Francisco Sardinha, Luizinho Faleiro are in fray for South Goa ticket.
