MAYEM: The five-day Sahastrachandi Anushthan, organised at Srikshetra Kalika Sansthan, Kasarpal-Bicholim, concluded with different religious rituals on Sunday.
The rituals were conducted in the presence of 108 Brahmin Purohits, Governor Mridula Sinha, Central and State ministers and thousands of devotees.
Governor Sinha said the Sahastrachandi Anushthan, which was organised for smooth administration of the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others, has been completed in a very good manner. She stressed the need of organizing such religious programmes for the welfare of the nation.
“God is a powerful strength and hence Anushthans which are performed in a united manner has very good strength which may be used for developing the nation,” she added.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said Union Minister Shripad Naik has made good efforts to retain the BJP-led government in the nation by organising such a religious programme and also to finish evils in the society.
Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said the religious function was organised for the welfare of the society.
Speaker Rajendra Arlekar said such religious functions help to finish evil things in the society.
Union Minister Shripad Naik and Paresh Raikar, who were the hosts of the five-day grand religious function, were very thankful to all the segments for making the function successful.
Panjim MLA Siddharth Cuncolkar also gave his good wishes on the occasion.
Different religious rituals and cultural events were performed on the occasion.
