The Pre-historic Rock Cut Chicalim Caves which are believed to be carved out and used by the Caveman have been sealed by unknown miscreants. The caves which were listed on the People’s Biodiversity Register were sealed on 20th April 2023 night. A person who saw the sealing alerted Chicalim Bio Crusaders about this mischief.
The Pre-historic Rock Cut Chicalim Caves lie off the Dabolim Bogmalo road. It is believed that some families of the first man lived in Goa in these precious caves which are a rich heritage. The Authorities have continually neglected to declare this area as a heritage site. On World Heritage Day, Chicalim Bio Crusaders had done an awareness programme for over 100 students of St Andrew’s Higher Secondary Vasco. Chicalim Bio Crusaders will file a police complaint in the case on Friday.
