Parts of Goa witnessed mild to heavy showers on Monday evening. The rain brought with it relief from the stifling heat in the state. Scattered places across North and South Goa received rainfall accompanied by thunder and stormy winds.
The sudden rain caught many people unaware and people were seen hurrying for shelter. While the rain brought relief from the heat, incidents of tree collapse due to sudden thunderstorms & pre-monsoon showers were reported across the state. Curchorem Fire & Emergency Services received 69 calls in the last 14 hours in Quepem, Sanguem & Dharbandora taluka. No injuries have been reported
