PANJIM: The State government has directed Secretaries of all its departments to prepare point-wise details as discussed by the NITI Aayog in its report and draft a future roadmap.
In a direction issued by the Chief Secretary, the departmental secretaries are asked to prepare point-wise details of discussion with NITI aayog members held on November 9. The list has to be prepared separately for each department.
“Future roadmap should be presented briefly,” the note circulated to the secretaries, reads. The detailed presentation has to be made to the Chief Minister.
The unemployment data highlighted by the think tank headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stirred major debate, with Chief Minister Pramod Sawant questioning the accuracy of the figures mentioned in the report.
Earlier, addressing a press conference, senior Minister Mauvin Godinho said that government will work on all the shortcomings that are highlighted in the report. He said that efforts would be made to strengthen the functioning of the State in the sectors lagging behind.
