President Murmu commends Goa University’s convocation, Emphasizes potential for educational excellence

President of India, Droupadi Murmu, graced the 34th Convocation Ceremony of Goa University held at the majestic Durbar Hall of Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. The event marked a significant milestone as the President conferred degrees and medals upon 20 accomplished candidates. Notably, a remarkable fifty-five per cent of these deserving degree recipients were inspiring female students, a fact that the President enthusiastically applauded.

The occasion also saw a jubilant celebration of gender parity in academic excellence, with an impressive 60 per cent of the coveted gold medals being awarded to exceptional female students. President Murmu took this moment to underscore the tremendous potential harboured by Goa University, envisioning its evolution into a thriving centre of educational brilliance and groundbreaking research.
