PANJIM: President of India Droupadi Murmu on Sunday felicitated Goa for being the first State in the country to achieve 100 per cent ‘Har Ghar Jal’ certification from the Union Jal Shakti Ministry.
Chief Secretary Puneet Kumar Goel and PWD Chief Engineer Uttam Parsekar represented Goa at the function, during which Murmu felicitated the officials with certification on the occasion of Swachh Bharat Diwas.
She congratulated Goa for being a ‘1st Har Ghar Jal’ certified State, and for securing 2nd position in the Functionality Assessment 2021-22 under more than 60 per cent coverage category.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant took to Twitter to thank the President of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
