PONDA: The application for anticipatory bail filed by Dhanjay Bhave (51), a Mangueshim temple priest, will come up for hearing before the Sessions Court at Ponda, on Wednesday.
Bhave filed the application after Ponda police registered an FIR (first information report) against him for allegedly molesting two girls in the temple when they visited the place for worship.
It is instructive that after the FIR was registered, Bhave was absconding for two days before filing his application for anticipatory bail.
It is learnt that the police have taken possession of CCTV footage and also interviewed some temple committee members.
