MARGAO: Babu Shankar Marathe, a prisoner who is undergoing trial, reportedly abused an escort constable, gave him a fist blow and also damaged the rear windscreen of the bus that was transporting prisoners to the Sessions Court at Margao.
According to police, angered by the escort constable’s refusal to allow free movement within the bus, the accused Marathe committed the offence. Marathe is a 26 years old native of Karnataka.
The police have registered an offence under Section 3 of PDPP Act against Marathe.
