Mapusa Municipality Councillor Priya Mishal on Monday filed her nomination for the post of the Mapusa Municipal Council’s chairperson. The BJP chose Priya Mishal over the councillor of ward no 5 Nutan Bicholkar.
Councillor of ward no 10 Priya Mishal is the only person to file a nomination for the post after ex-chairperson Shubhangi Vaingankar’s resignation left the post vacant. The election for Mapusa municipality’s chairperson will be held on 31 January for which Mishal will most likely be elected.
