PANJIM: The Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has directed South Goa Police Superintendent to conduct inquiry to find out the exact location of several bore wells illegally dug within the premises of Fish meal plants at Davorlim and Cuncolim Industrial Estates.
The letter by GSPCB Environment Engineer says “as per letter received from Alpha Omega Fou 2/4 Jorson Fernandes, it is noted that M/s Zam Zam Bore Well located at H. No. 453, near M. Housing Board Colony, Davorlim, Margao Goa, has installed several bore wells within the Cuncolim Industrial Estate.”
It further says, “In view of the above you are hereby directed to investigate and find out exact locations of bore wells installed and submit the report to this office within seven days.”
