MARGAO: Sarpanch of Chinchinim, Antonio Sequeira informed gram sabha that the government has approved the project for panchayat ghar and sport complex estimated over Rs 7 crore.
The project, he stated, shall be taken up phase wise. The issue in regard to an old crematorium also figured with sarpanch requesting the aggrieved villagers to place in writing their grievances and promising necessary action.
The members also questioned on the acquisition of land for road at Pospalvem while issue of installing of sign boards in village was also raised by villagers again.
Sarpanch Sequeira informed that the panchayat body has approached the Public Works Department with request to install signage boards and promised to follow it up.
