MARGAO: Margao fire brigade personnel put off the fire caused due to suspected electrical short circuit at the residence of Mhableshwar Parvatkar of Comba. The incident occurred on Friday at 4.15 pm.
Fire brigade personnel saved property worth Rs 2 lakh. However, a TV stand along with a TV set and a fridge were damaged; the loss has been pegged at Rs 40,000.
Meanwhile, the fire service personnel rescued a 35 years old person, identified as Arjun who accidentally fell into 45-feet deep well, on Friday.
The well is situated near old telephone exchange, behind south Goa police headquarters, Margao.
