Property worth Rs 75,000 gutted at Ponda

Property worth Rs 75,000 was gutted in a fire that broke out in a flat at Shantinagar-Ponda on Saturday morning.
Ponda fire services rushed to the site but by the time they reached the spot, one room was completely gutted in the fire. The property belonging to Avdhut Shinkre that was destroyed in the fire included a bed, clothes and an AC.
Fire fighters, however, managed to save household goods in the other room and kitchen.
Ponda Fire Sub-officer Maruti Gaonkar along with leading fire fighter C  Mhatrekar, driver-operator G Naik, fire fighters Y Parab, G Paune, A Narvenkar and S K Velip took part in the operations.
