MARGAO: Following the inspection of KTC bus stand at Margao all agreed to submit their proposals and suggestions within a fortnight so that necessary action be taken before the onset of monsoons.
The inspection was organised by South Goa District Road Safety Committee where they noted that additional benches for passengers to sit, drinking water facilities and first aid kit were urgently required at the bus stand.
The Committee decided that all concerned people would submit their proposals which would be compiled and given to the South Collector.
The road safety committee also suggested displaying emergency helpline numbers and also availability of buses to go to the Konkan Railway Station at Margao.
The need to reorganise the entry passage was also felt to safeguard passengers from alighting from vehicles besides making proper parking arrangements for motorcycle pilots and rickshaw drivers.
